Car Reviews

Zeekr is Geely's premium EV brand — built not to chase the budget segment, but to compete directly with Tesla and European luxury names. The result is a lineup that pairs genuinely distinctive design with a feature-rich, tech-forward cabin experience.

At Cars&TechSG we've driven all four Zeekr models available locally — from the compact X Urban Cat A to the private-jet-inspired 009 Deluxe MPV. Every review is tested on local roads, written honestly, and aimed at buyers who want the real picture before they commit.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions from buyers researching Zeekr — answered from real driving experience.

What is Zeekr and who makes it?
Zeekr is a premium EV brand from Geely Holding Group — one of China's largest automotive conglomerates and the owner of Volvo Cars. Unlike budget-focused Chinese EV brands, Zeekr was built specifically to target the upper end of the market, competing with Tesla and European names on design, technology and cabin quality. The lineup here includes the Zeekr X compact SUV and the 009 luxury electric MPV.
What's the difference between the Zeekr X and Zeekr 009?
The Zeekr X is a compact electric SUV — practical, stylish and available in both Cat A (Urban, 110kW) and Cat B (RWD) variants. The Zeekr 009 is a large luxury electric MPV with six seats and a private-jet-inspired interior. They target very different buyers: the X suits the urban daily driver, the 009 is for the buyer who wants executive-class comfort in EV form. We've reviewed all four variants — browse the tiles above to compare.
Is the Zeekr X Urban Cat A eligible?
Yes — the Zeekr X Urban has its motor output capped at 110kW, qualifying for Cat A COE. It keeps the same exterior design, ventilated front seats, vegan leather cabin and external Bluetooth speaker as the Cat B model. What it loses vs the Cat B: the Yamaha audio system, 17-preset ambient lighting and the mini fridge. Our full Cat A review covers all of this honestly.
Zeekr X Urban (Cat A) vs X RWD (Cat B) — which should I choose?
The Urban makes sense if Cat A COE suits your budget and you don't need the Yamaha audio, ambient lighting or fridge. For daily commuting and family use, the Urban covers almost everything that matters. The Cat B RWD delivers more power, a richer in-cabin experience and slightly better range — for buyers who want the full Zeekr X spec and are comfortable with Cat B premiums.
What is the Zeekr 009 Deluxe?
The Zeekr 009 Deluxe is a single-motor variant of the 009 luxury MPV, producing 250kW (335bhp) and 373Nm with a 0–100km/h time of 7.9 seconds and 604km of WLTP range. It targets buyers who want the 009's extraordinary six-seat interior experience at a more accessible price than the original twin-motor flagship. We reviewed it on local roads in March 2026.
