Is the DEEPAL S05 a Cat A or Cat B car?
Cat A. The Singapore-spec S05 is capped at 99kW, under the 110kW ceiling for Category A COE, which makes it DEEPAL's Cat A option alongside the Cat B S07.
How fast does the DEEPAL S07 charge?
DC charging peaks at 91kW, taking the battery from 20–80% in 35 minutes. That's slower than the 175kW-plus chargers on some rivals, so it's worth planning around if you rely on public charging; for home or office overnight charging it makes little difference.
Is the DEEPAL S07 a Cat A or Cat B car?
Cat B. Its 215bhp works out to roughly 160kW, which is above the 110kW ceiling for Category A COE.
Is the S07 practical for families?
It's comfort-first rather than sporty. You get a 445L boot with a 125L frunk for cables and smaller items, a panoramic glass roof running the length of the cabin, and front seats with both massage and ventilation. Our review calls the cabin one of the best-appointed in its category.
What other DEEPAL models are coming to Singapore?
At the brand's Singapore launch, DEEPAL showed the S07 as its first model here and previewed two more: the mid-size S05 SUV and the E07. The S05 has since gone on sale as DEEPAL's Cat A model and we've now reviewed it; the E07 is the one we haven't tested yet.
