Car Reviews

Founded in China in 2015, Leapmotor grew fast by building much of its EV hardware in-house — which is how it packs this much equipment in at the price. In Singapore the brand is handled by Cycle & Carriage, through Leapmotor's partnership with Stellantis.

At Cars&TechSG we've driven the C10, its electric SUV: Cat A, VES A1, a 69.9kWh battery and a cabin with 26 storage compartments and a 2.1m² glass roof. Every review is honest, and aimed at buyers who want the real picture before they commit.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions from buyers researching Leapmotor — answered from real driving experience.

What is Leapmotor and who sells it in Singapore?
Leapmotor was founded in China in 2015 and grew quickly by developing much of its own EV hardware in-house, which keeps costs down while still packing cars with features. In Singapore it's handled by Cycle & Carriage, through Leapmotor's partnership with Stellantis.
Is the Leapmotor C10 a Cat A car?
Yes — our review lists it under Category A, with VES banding A1. Its single rear motor makes 100kW (134bhp), inside the 110kW Cat A ceiling, and the A1 VES band is the top rebate tier.
What range does the Leapmotor C10 have, and how fast does it charge?
The 69.9kWh LFP battery is quoted at 419km combined, rising to as much as 565km in city driving where regenerative braking does more work. DC charging peaks at 84kW, covering 30–80% in about 30 minutes, and AC charging runs at 11kW. The 84kW ceiling is modest for a battery this size, so the C10 suits owners who can charge at home or at work rather than relying on quick public top-ups.
Is the Leapmotor C10 practical?
Very. The boot holds 435L and opens up to 1,410L with the rear seats folded, there's a 32L frunk for cables, and our review counts 26 smart storage compartments around the cabin. A 2.1m² panoramic glass sunroof keeps it feeling airy, and the seats are OEKO-TEX baby-safe certified.
What are the C10's weak points?
Two things stood out in our review. At launch it didn't offer Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, which is a real omission when the screen is otherwise this good. The lane-keeping assistance is also intrusive enough to be worth switching off. On pace, 10.7s to 100km/h is relaxed rather than quick — this is a comfort-first SUV.
What's the C10's cabin like?
Better than the price suggests. There's a 14.6-inch high-definition touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12-speaker surround sound system, with the panoramic roof overhead. Our review calls the C10 a genuinely serious contender in the electric SUV market.

LEAPMOTOR C10

10/05/2026

Founded in China in 2015, Leapmotor quickly became one of the fastest-growing EV brands by focusing on smart technology and affordable electric cars. A fun fact: the company develops many of its own key EV systems in-house, which helps keep costs competitive while packing in advanced features.
