XPENG is a Chinese smart-EV maker founded in 2014 and headquartered in Guangzhou. It's listed on both the New York and Hong Kong stock exchanges, and is known for pairing its electric cars with in-house software and driver-assistance tech. In Singapore, XPENG's flagship showroom is at 281 Alexandra Road.

Quite a lot. The 2025 G6 we tested had 335bhp, 545Nm, a 77kWh battery, 0–100km/h in 5.6s and DC charging at up to 135kW (10–80% in 28 minutes). The facelifted G6 PRO AWD Performance moves to dual motors with 480bhp (358kW) and 660Nm, hits 100km/h in 4.1s, and uses an 80.8kWh LFP battery on an 800V architecture that peaks at 475kW, going 10–80% in an estimated 20 minutes. The boot grows from 540L to 571L, and the cabin steps up with Nappa leather, an 18-speaker Xopera sound system and ventilated, massaging front seats.

It runs on an 800V architecture with a maximum DC charging rate of 475kW, taking the 80.8kWh battery from 10–80% in an estimated 20 minutes. On an 11kW AC charger, 10–80% takes about 10 hours, so overnight home charging covers daily use.

Yes — XPENG unveiled the G6 Air at the 2026 Singapore Motorshow and is positioning it for the Cat A COE segment. Our G6 facelift review lists its road tax at $1,560 a year, versus $5,087 for the PRO AWD Performance. We haven't tested the G6 Air yet; the three models we've reviewed are all performance-oriented Cat B cars.

Very. The X9 is a seven-seat electric MPV with a 755L boot even with all rows up, a third row that adults can use, and an easy-entry function for getting in and out. Rear-wheel steering makes it far easier to park than its size suggests, and dual-chamber air suspension keeps it composed. It also has a 21.4-inch rear entertainment screen, 23 speakers and a built-in fridge. The 101.5kWh battery is claimed at 590km on the CLTC cycle; we saw around 480km in real-world mixed driving.
