Fun Facts First
When we previously reviewed the Zeekr 009 Flagship variant, it was clear that Zeekr wasn't just building another electric MPV — it was redefining what a luxury people mover could be. Now, with the introduction of the Deluxe variant, the lineup expands to three trims — Deluxe, Premium, and Flagship — offering a broader appeal while retaining the brand's signature sophistication.

Single front-mounted motor tuned for smooth, efficient luxury MPV driving.
FWD ElectricBalanced acceleration prioritising comfort over outright performance.

Family ReadyPremium cabin with OLED displays and 30-speaker Yamaha system.
Luxury CabinExecutive seating with Sofaro first-class materials and 3-zone climate.
Executive ClassLaunched with a new single-motor configuration in mid-2025, the Zeekr 009 Deluxe targets buyers who want a more accessible entry point without sacrificing the essence of executive comfort. On paper, it produces 250 kW (335 bhp) and 373 Nm, delivering a respectable 0–100 km/h in 7.9 seconds, alongside a claimed WLTP range of 604 km — figures that place it comfortably within premium EV territory.
But numbers aside, the real question is: does the Deluxe still feel like a Zeekr flagship experience?
The front of the Zeekr 009 Deluxe is unmistakable. The large, upright grille — finished in a glossy, almost chrome-like treatment — gives it a stately presence. Unlike traditional MPVs that try to hide their bulk, the 009 embraces it confidently. The slim claw-like LED headlight units integrate seamlessly into the upright fascia, giving the MPV a commanding yet clean look. The lighting signature isn't overly aggressive, but instead leans toward understated elegance — very much in line with its executive positioning.

From the side, the proportions are long and clean, with a strong beltline that enhances its executive silhouette. Despite its size, the design cleverly avoids looking boxy. The large windows contribute to a wide, airy cabin feel, something you immediately appreciate once inside.
At the rear, the design is neat and cohesive. The vertical mass is broken up by the horizontal light bar, while the tailgate remains clean and uncluttered. It's a design that prioritizes elegance over unnecessary aggression.
Around the rear, the full-width LED tail light bar creates a distinctive nighttime presence. It stretches across the width of the vehicle, emphasizing its size while maintaining a premium visual identity. It's not flashy — but it doesn't need to be.

Interior Impressions: Where Luxury Truly Shines
Step inside, and the Zeekr 009 Deluxe immediately delivers on its promise of luxury.
The cabin is fully leather-wrapped, with soft-touch materials extending across almost every surface. The design feels cohesive and premium, complemented by ambient lighting that runs throughout the interior, creating a calm and upscale atmosphere at night.
The centrepiece is a large, crisp infotainment display, powered by Zeekr's intelligent assistant. The interface is sharp and responsive, reinforcing the car's tech-forward identity. Rear passengers aren't left out either, with a 17-inch 3K OLED roof-mounted screen that serves both second and third-row occupants with it's entertainment options such as Youtube!
There are thoughtful details everywhere:
That said, not everything is perfect. The steering wheel buttons feel slightly less premium than expected, and the digitally adjustable air vents can be fiddly to operate, requiring more attention than they should.

Storage solutions are well thought out:
There's even a phone reminder system, alerting you if you leave your device behind — a small but genuinely useful touch.

The Zeekr 009 Deluxe excels in passenger comfort, especially in the second row.
The captain seats are plush and highly adjustable, featuring:
These seats are designed for long-distance comfort, and they deliver. The cabin feels wide and open, with excellent visibility that reduces any sense of confinement.
The third row is also genuinely usable — not just an afterthought — making this a proper three-row luxury MPV.

At the rear, the boot offers decent space of 574L for daily use. Folding the seats expands capacity till 2979L, but there's a caveat:
the seats do not fold completely flat, which limits maximum usability for larger items.
Another minor gripe is the boot closing speed, which takes around 10 seconds — noticeably slower than expected for a vehicle in this class.

On Road Performance:
Despite its size, the Zeekr 009 Deluxe is remarkably easy to drive.
The single front-mounted motor delivers smooth, linear acceleration. It's not aggressive, but provides more than enough power for daily driving and overtaking, with refinement taking priority over outright performance.
Ride quality is a standout. The dual-chamber air suspension with five adjustable levels delivers a plush, composed ride, absorbing bumps effortlessly. Even on uneven roads, the cabin remains calm and well-isolated.
Handling is better than expected for a large MPV. Body control is well managed, and the steering — while light — gives enough confidence at higher speeds. The overall driving feel is stable, predictable, and stress-free.
In tighter spaces, the 009 excels thanks to:
The cabin remains quiet and refined, enhancing the overall driving experience. Combined with features like Pet Mode and Camping Mode, the 009 proves to be as versatile as it is luxurious.

The Zeekr 009 Deluxe successfully brings the essence of the flagship experience into a more attainable package.
It may lack some of the outright extravagance of the higher trims, but it retains the fundamentals that matter:
There are minor drawbacks — slightly underwhelming tactile elements, slower boot operation, and a few usability quirks — but none are deal-breakers.
For those seeking a premium electric MPV that balances luxury, technology, and everyday usability, the Zeekr 009 Deluxe stands out as a compelling option — and one that proves you don't need the top-tier variant to enjoy the full Zeekr experience.
