Fun Facts First
XPENG G6 returned in September last year with meaningful updates rather than a superficial refresh—and that's exactly what this segment demands. In a market like Singapore where EV adoption is accelerating and expectations are sky-high, this facelifted variant tightens the formula with smarter tech, improved comfort, and subtle but impactful design tweaks. In this review, we focus on the PRO AWD Performance variant.

Dual-motor AWD delivers instant torque and strong acceleration across all speeds.
AWD PerformanceSports SUV pace that feels effortless, yet controlled in daily driving conditions.
Quick EVSolid WLTP range for Singapore usage with efficient energy consumption.
Long RangeWide opening makes loading easy, though no frunk is available.
Practical SUVUnder the skin, it remains a serious performer: dual motors pushing out a potent 480 bhp and 660 Nm, launching from 0–100 km/h in just 4.1 seconds. Paired with an 80.8 kWh battery delivering up to 510 km (WLTP), it's backed by an 800V architecture capable of ultra-fast charging (10–80% in as little as 12–20 minutes). Numbers aside, this update is about refinement—and it shows.
At first glance, the facelift may seem understated—but look closer and the changes are deliberate. The most noticeable update is at the front: the removal of the central logo allows the LED light bar to run seamlessly across the width, creating a cleaner, more futuristic identity. The XPENG badge has been repositioned onto the bonnet, a small move that significantly improves visual balance.
From the side, the G6 continues to carry its coupe-SUV silhouette confidently. The updated detailing enhances its aerodynamic stance, making it look even sleeker than before—something that's especially noticeable in motion.

At the rear, the addition of a ducktail spoiler integrated into the tailgate gives the car a sportier finish without going overboard. It complements the minimalist rear design while subtly reinforcing its performance credentials.

Headlights & Tail Lights
The full-width LED light bar upfront now feels more cohesive and premium, while the rear lighting remains clean and modern. Together, they give the G6 a strong night-time signature—important in Singapore's urban driving environment where visual identity matters.

Interior, Tech & Comfort: Premium Execution with Practical Touches
Step inside and the improvements become immediately apparent. The cabin now features configurable ambient lighting—something previously missing—and it elevates the overall atmosphere significantly, especially at night.
The infotainment system has been upsized to a crisp 15.6-inch touchscreen, delivering sharp visuals and fluid responsiveness. It's intuitive, with useful features like navigation that highlights charging stations, alongside lifestyle modes such as Rest Mode.
Material quality is a standout. Premium Nappa leather upholstery dominates the cabin, with minimal plastic intrusion (mostly limited to door bin areas). The seats are not just comfortable—they're feature-packed, offering 12-way adjustment, ventilation, and a six-mode massage function for front occupants.

That said, there are a couple of ergonomic quirks. While the air-conditioning vents are now physically adjustable (a welcome change), fine-tuning airflow can still feel unintuitive. Rear passengers also miss out on dedicated air-con controls, which feels like a slight oversight in this segmen
Other highlights include:

Rear passengers are well taken care of, with generous legroom and headroom, plus reclining seats for added comfort. The cabin feels airy yet cocooned, thanks in part to excellent soundproofing—road and wind noise are impressively subdued, lending a serene, almost luxury-class experience.

With 571 litres of cargo capacity, the boot is spacious and highly practical. The wide opening makes loading bulky items straightforward—important for grocery runs, luggage, or even lifestyle gear.
One notable omission, however, is the absence of a frunk. Given its EV architecture, this feels like a missed opportunity for additional storage.

On Road Performance:
On the move, the G6 PRO AWD Performance variant lives up to its name. Acceleration is immediate and forceful, yet controlled. The chassis feels planted, with minimal body roll even when pushed through corners.
Ride quality is well-judged—bumps are absorbed effectively, although ultra-harsh surfaces can still transmit some sharpness into the cabin. Steering is precise enough to inspire confidence, and the overall driving dynamics strike a good balance between comfort and sportiness.
Drive modes (Eco, Comfort, Sport, Individual) allow you to tailor the experience, though most drivers will find Comfort mode more than sufficient for daily use.
Standout features include:
However, one area stands out: the brakes. Given the car's performance potential, the braking system feels like it could use an upgrade to better match its power output.

The facelifted XPENG G6 PRO AWD Performance is a clear step forward. It refines what was already a compelling package—adding premium touches like ambient lighting, better ergonomics, and enhanced tech—while maintaining its strong performance credentials.
The cabin feels genuinely premium, the drive is composed yet exciting, and the tech integration is among the better ones in its class. It's easy to see why it earns a spot on any shortlist for premium electric SUVs in Singapore.
That said, there are a few minor areas where there's still room for improvement:
None of these are major drawbacks, but they're small considerations depending on your needs and expectations.
Still, if you're looking for a sleek, high-performance EV SUV that blends comfort, technology, and usability, the G6 PRO AWD Performance stands out as one of the more complete offerings in today's market.
Cars&TechSG Verdict:
The facelifted G6 is no longer just a "good alternative EV."
It's now a genuinely desirable premium electric SUV in Singapore even with the Air version that comes with a lower road tax and more comfortable specifications.
